Player of the Week - Cameron Tragardh 11.05.07
ROUND 4-
Cameron Tragardh, Rockhampton Stadium Nightclub Rockets
After sustaining an ankle injury that had him on the sidelines for the first few weeks of the competition, Cameron Tragardh staged a ‘no-holes barred’ assault on the QABL over the weekend to take out the Player of the Week Award for his entrance into the QABL for 2007. Lining up against Ipswich Force on Friday night, Tragardh led his team with 21pts, 11rbs, 1ast and 3stls. He bagged 20 of these points within the first quarter at 62%- a well-polished achievement. After hitting the road up the range to Toowoomba for game two of a triple-header, Tragardh’s rampage continued with 32pts, 7rbs and 3asts, increasing his success rate slightly to 66%. Just when you thought that he’d be all said and done, he arrived tired to face the Wizards on Sunday, and nearly clawed his way into a triple-double (32pts, 11rbs and 7asts). This effort is nothing short of outstanding with Tragardh instantly proving a real asset to the Rockets for 07. Three other real highlights from Round 4 include, Tragardh’s team mate Jeff Gloger with a triple-header total of 71pts, 33rbs, 19ats and 6stls to push his team to 5 and 0; Aaron Grabau of the Marlins also on a triple-header, flying home with 72pts, 25rbs, 8asts and 6stls helping his team to remain untouched at 5 and 0; and Michael Kingma of the Power flying the flag high with 34pts and 20rbs in the face of a tough Marlins team.
