A big game on the cards for Gladstone who have played well in 07 but not at the level that they need.  The State League is new for the Power and they need to step things up and take control of their destiny, which needs to start in the form of a win here.  They are 0 and 4 and have Kingma leading off the boards across the League who was outstanding last week (34pts, 20rbs).  Rocky – what more can be said about this team?  3 and 0 on last weekend’s triple-header, going 5 and 0 for the year.  With Tragardh and Gloger averaging in the high 20’s per game, Gladstone really have their work cut out for them.  Look out for Thompson- when he’s on, he’s on…

With Cairns, Townsville and Mackay sitting above them on the ladder, the Rocky girls know that they cannot afford to drop too many games if they want to be in the running of a top 2 pool position.  They grabbed two huge margins last weekend (Ipswich by 28 and Northside by 45) but couldn’t find a happy medium against Toowoomba going down by 10 (58-68).  Gladstone did quite well against Cairns last week only going down by 14pts (54-68).  They need to put aside that they are at 0 and 4 and focus on their opposition and shut down each and every scoring opportunity to give themselves a platform to work from.
