American Jeff Gloger has quickly gained a name for himself within the basketball ranks of Queensland after an explosive performance in Round 2 of the QABL. He takes out the Player of the Week Award after grabbing 41 points, 16 rebounds, 9 assists and 3 steals, only a fraction off a triple-double for the Rockets opening home game for the season. It wasn’t an easy task in the face of a very tough Townsville team, and as a result he has quickly become a crowd favourite in Rockhampton. He helped to move the team into their 2007 campaign successfully and will prove a real asset, playing alongside Tragardh, Thompson and Bullock. Elsewhere, Adam Darragh threw down with 39pts, 3rbs, 7asts for the Goannas in a tough loss to the Thunder; David Gurney of the Mountaineers with 30pts, 12rbs, 2asts but unable to get his team across the line; Dante Sykes of the Wizards grabs 29pts, 5rbs and 7asts to move his team into the number 1 position on the ladder; and Nathan Niesler of the Pirates helping his team go untouched at 3 and 0 for the year with 36pts, 10rbs, 1rb
